I have read his first book and this one is just as great. Keep an eye on this author Glen Lorenzana he is going all the way up. Get his books.
This is a fast pace, futuristic fantasy. Detective Jake DuBois goes on an epic journey that will change the world. The antagonists of the story are an awesome group. The description of the elders, when finally revealing is both frightening and disgusting in a way I would one day love to see on screen. I definitely recommend this for those who like the fantasy genre. Particularly those who like Indiana Jones or Lord of the Rings.
The story is fast paced and it delves into the myriad of main stream spirituality. AOW is about brotherhood, self-doubt and a unique perspective on the celestial beings the angels. The plot and sub plot align quickly, adding more tension to the foreshadowing; leading to the climax. The open ended conclusion leaves the reader to look forward to a sequel. This story is in par to the action genres, that focus on the supernatural existing in a controlled society. For the fans of stories by L.K. Hamilton and films like Underworld, you will appreciate and enjoy Angels of War.
